Perfusion Systems
Cardiopulmonary Bypass
Perfusion technology that temporarily takes over the function of the heart and lungs, engineered around circuit architecture, flow management and clear control.

Overview
Understanding the technology
Cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) temporarily assumes the pumping and gas-exchange roles of the heart and lungs, allowing certain procedures to be carried out while circulation is maintained through an external circuit.
Our engineering focuses on the relationship between the console, the circuit and the perfusionist - building systems where flow management and monitoring are legible, and where the architecture supports careful, controlled operation.
Technology Architecture
How the system fits together
A cardiopulmonary bypass circuit conceptually routes blood through a reservoir, pump and oxygenator before returning it to the patient under supervision.
Perfusion circuit path
Venous Reservoir
Collects returning venous blood
Pump
Drives flow through the circuit
Oxygenator
Gas exchange across the membrane
Heat Exchanger
Temperature management of blood
Arterial Filter
Conditions blood before return
Patient Return
Blood returned to circulation
Supervisory layer
- Console Control
- Flow Monitoring
- Pressure & Level Sensing
- Safety Interlocks
